  • Research Overview:

The CURE Laboratory performs research at the Intersection of Ultrasound, Applied Mechanics, Polymer Chemistry, and Bioengineering. We use unique sets of ultrasonic tools to enable mechanochemical activation in synthetic polymers and evaluate the damage evolution in engineering materials from nano- to macro-scale. Ultimately, we apply these advancements to address a variety of infrastructure challenges and develop new construction components capable of self-visualizing, -resisting, and -healing.
